Our Staff


Billy started working at Pedal Power in 1995 and he and his wife, Helga, purchased the shop in 2000. His 21 years of mechanic experience is a daily asset, as Billy continues to dive in and get his hands dirty. He is also a Serotta Fit specialist. In addition to being a loving father and prominent figure in the local community, Billy and Helga aspire to empower people, and bring families together through the benefit of cycling.


John has worked at the shop since 2007. He likes to ride mountain bikes when he has time. He is Serotta and Park Tool certified and has had training by Avid, Sram, Campagnolo, Rock Shox and Fox techs. He holds a degree in Telecommunications from the University of Kentucky.


Josh has been with PedalPower since 2010. He started cycling in 2009 when he road his bike to Florida. A recovering roadie who now loves mountain biking and commuting in flip-flops. He is also a certified Fit Specialist.


Ken is an Idaho transplant. He has been racing bicycles since he was a young pup and has worked in bike shops in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and California. He is an Idaho State Champion in BMX ('96) and Road Racing ('11).


Steph is back at Pedal Power after a few years traveling the country as a Liv Cycling Field Tech Rep.  She brings a passion for getting people on bikes and cycling education.


Evan comes to Pedal Power with an eye for detail. Evan took up cycling 5 years ago on his dad's old bike. Since then a passion was born. Evan is now the Kentucky state single speed cyclocross champion. He is presently sharpening his mechanics skills and is a wealth of knowledge for cyclocross training and racing. Evan dreams of becoming a cyclocross pro athlete and we have no doubt with his tenacious attitude and passion, this dream will become a reality.


Adam recently moved here from Atlanta, GA. He commutes daily and loves to race Cyclocross. He also likes to troll Gregg by buying a sweet purple Surly Karate Monkey.

Van is a native of Lexington and is presently an undergraduate student at the University of Kentucky pursuing military service and later a career in medicine. He has wilderness medical experience and is a licensed wilderness first responder. In addition to medical experience, he is an avid mountain biker. He enjoys tinkering with bikes and talking about them with others.
