Details
With the same geometry and fit as its big brother, SuperX, the CAADX delivers awesome traction, stability, and handling. It’s also a perfect pit bike for new SuperX owners. OutFront Steering Geometry offers drama-free stability on technical courses and potholed streets but maintains quick-handling agility everywhere else. SmartForm C2 Alloy Construction and CAAD12-inspired tube shapes keep it light and easy to shoulder, while SAVE micro-suspension helps you track smoothly through the rough stuff. Subtle rack mounts, a removable seat stay fender mount and hidden fork fender mounts expand its usability without affecting its racy looks.
A smooth, powerful 2x11 Shimano hydraulic Ultegra groupset gives you solid shifting and braking whether you're on a muddy 'cross course or loose gravel roads. Cannondale's CX 2.0 wheels are paired with Vittoria Terreno Mix tires for quick acceleration and biting traction through off-camber turns.

I use this bike as my daily commuter. Since my commute is 50% trail I figured this would be a good bike. Powerful brakes decent weight. I swapped the wheels for lighter Stan's Grails and havent looked back. I've done CX races as well as ridden this bike on numerous mountain bike trails. After almost two years of regular, hard use this bike has been a pleasure to ride. I ride nearly every day - road, mtn and gravel, and this bike is the one I ride most. Love it.

I'm 64 years old, 189 pounds and not a rough rider. Cannondale advertises the CAADX Ultegra as a rugged bike, but my bike hasn't performed well on decent road surfaces. I had nothing but trouble with this bike, before and after the warranty period. First, soon after I purchased the bike, the Ultegra drive train was faulty and fortunately was replaced under warranty. After the warranty expired, the brakes failed twice and I had to have them changed out for higher end hydraulic brakes, which cost me over $500. Throughout and after the warranty period, the spokes broke regularly. In my opinion. the bike was unsafe when I bought it. My experience with Cannondale support was a great disappointment. After the series of problems that I had with the CAADX, they should have helped me out with new rims. Unfortunately, they don't stand by their products.
